Swatching for the Summer Tank

I have started swatching for the Summer Tank that was featured on Crazy Aunt Purl's Blog.

I have been playing with different yarns for a few days now and think that I have found a perfect yarn for this top.

Berroco Seduce:  100 yards (91 meters) per skein
(47% Rayon, 25% Linen, 17% Silk, 11% Nylon)
published gauge - 20 sts/4"

I am able to get a gauge of 11 sts/4" on size U.S. 10 (6mm) needles.

  1. Fantastic! I'd seen that one on Crazy Aunt Purl's sight and was thinking.. "gee, I'd like to try and make that one too" and now you're doing your magic with another pattern. Thanks so much!!

  3. Thanks for the compliments ~ I also design for Cascade Yarns, in addition to publishing independent designs. I need to get some of my Cascade work done and it will take me at least two weeks to get the tank done.

I am thinking of making it with wider straps at the top instead of the cord like straps.

  5. Yay! I'm so glad you're doing a pattern for the tank too! I like the idea of the other sweater, but I know I would never wear it (I rarely if ever wear pullovers) so I'm not going to knit it. But that tank! I was in love with it and now it can be mine! Thanks for your hard work, Vera!

  6. Yay! I plan to knit your CAP summer sweater, but I generally find big expanses of nothing but stockinet stitch boring ... I definitely find this lacy tank much more interesting :-)
